Centre for Evidence based Initiatives in Health Care – An Affiliate Centre of the Joanna Briggs Institute


The School of Nursing, Midwifery & Indigenous Health (SNMIH) located within the Faculty of
Health and Behavioural Sciences is a teaching and research university committed to closing the gap
between academia and practice. Supported through the provision of clinical resources by the St George
Hospital, the Centre will create an opportunity for clinicians, academics and other key stakeholders
to make a significant impact on the delivery of high quality of clinical care, education and
leadership through evidence generation, synthesis, transfer, and utilization. The Centre will incorporate numerous clinicians, researchers, academics and other key
stakeholders across the health specialities including education, leadership, mental health, chronic
disease, maternal-child care, acute care, community care, health promotion, chronic and long-term
care, and nurse administration.
