The Brazilian Centre represents the efforts of these three units to promote evidence-based health care aimed at professionals who work in research, teaching, assistance, and management, policy makers, and health system users. The Brazilian Centre intends to spread throughout the Brazilian territory the perspective that the use of the best evidence to inform decisions in clinical, managerial and public policies areas is essential for an effective health care program. Strong academic leadership in preparing health professionals; testified capability to conduct research and to prepare researchers; and the partnership with health institutions and health governmental organizations are the basis for the Brazilian Centre work.
