Governance

The primary role of the Committee of Management is one of governance, rather than of management, as it delegates the responsibility for the Institute's day-to-day management and organisational operations to the Executive Director, who in turn delegates functional responsibilities to Associate Directors, other staff and volunteers. The role of the Committee of Management is to protect the interest of the Institute and its members.

The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) is an operational unit of the University of Adelaide and as the coordinating body of the JB Collaboration is governed by a Committee of Management that is appointed by and accountable to the Executive Dean, Faculty of Health Sciences, the University of Adelaide.
