Developments
    •   March 2004 - Workshop for the core team in conducting comprehensive Systematic Reviews. The Workshop was facilitated by Prof Alan Pearson and Mr Rick Wiechula from JBI.

    •   On 1st April 2004, the Centre was formally launched. Prof Alan Pearson provided an informative overview of the activities of JBI and the expectations of Collaborating Centres.
 

Systematic Reviews
The South African Centre is currently developing a proposal to undertake Systematic Review in three aspects of home-based care for persons living with HIV/AIDS in Africa. The three reviews will focus on the following:
    •   The experience of caregivers
    •   The effectiveness of home-based care
    •   The feasibility of home-based care
