The Centre aims to advance and promote evidence based care for older people through its systematic evidence reviews and practice development activities. It focuses on Gerontological Practice including long-term conditions and on improving Health and Well Being in Later Life. The Centre staff have an interest in the rapidly expanding area of synthesis of evidence from different paradigms, and in contributing to developing methodologies to combine and evaluate different kinds of research evidence to inform practice. A major goal is leading collaborative activities to advance evidence appraisal and culturally appropriate care guidance development methodologies.
