The Kenya Medical Research Institute Centre for Geographic Medicine Research, Coast (KEMRI-CGMRC) is based in Kilifi, Kenya. Research at the centre is focussed on clinical and basic laboratory research of several aspects of childhood illness including immunopathophysiology of malaria and other childhood diseases; clinical pharmacology of drugs used to treat malaria and associated complications; public health; and health systems research.The Centre’s activities are closely linked to the Kilifi District Hospital and the Kenya Ministry of Health.
