The Organising Committee of the Joanna Briggs Institute International Convention takes great pleasure in inviting you to attend the 2007 convention titled 'Pebbles of Knowledge: Evidence for Excellence', which will be held at the Hyatt Regency Adelaide from Monday 26th to Wednesday 28th, inclusive, of November 2007.

The meeting will attract health professionals, health services managers, policy makers, educators, researchers and consumers of health care to engage in debate and discussion on improving health care and health systems through translating, transferring and utilising evidence.

The Convention will provide a unique opportunity for delegates to be involved in the promotion of an international exchange of knowledge related to evidence-based health care and advance the science of evidence review, transfer and utilisation. It will also provide a forum for Joanna Briggs Institute Collaborating Centres, International Networks and Members to contribute to the Institutes Mission and explore opportunities for international collaboration between consumers, medicine, nursing and allied health.

The program promises to be challenging and diverse and will feature both Australian and international speakers. Special events will include a convention gala dinner and the Joanna Briggs Oration.

This is an opportunity for health professionals from all disciplines and consumers to share their knowledge, drop a pebble into the water and cause a rippling effect of practical change in clinical settings throughout healthcare.
